Bells Run Cemetery may have been the location of the (French) Baptist Church.
Christophe Jodry, who is buried here, was a church elder in France and may have
helped in the organization of this church when he was removed from membership
in the Mowrystown French Presbyterian Church in 1854. In 1861 the Euverard,
Bourguin, Brognard and Gayman families officially split from the French Church
and became the original members of the Bells Run congregation.

Bells Run Cemetery is located on State Route 321 west of Mowrystown. It is well
kept but many of the grave markers are no longer legible. The earliest documented
burial was in 1854.
